Hey friend,
Welcome to March! 🎉🦋
I hope we have a solid month! How have you been since the last newsletter?
I’m finally getting back to my normal and mentally healthy self. I feel less anxious and more at ease.
By the way, I almost missed today’s newsletter! But Friday is not over, and I’m certain that I’ll publish this before 12am on Saturday.
Reminder: every newsletter comes in on the first and last Fridays of every month.
Let’s get started…
My friend, I’m super glad that I’m starting to prioritize myself (my thoughts and feelings) now more than ever. Seems like another cliche self-love bullshit, right?
But it’s more than that to me.
A lot has killed my mood in the past 2-3 weeks, and one of them has been self-inflicted. I kept giving without receiving (feel free to take this in whatever context 😉).
It made me feel undeserving. Until I got to a point where I couldn’t anymore.
I shouldn’t be wasting my time and effort on endeavors that aren’t fulfilling or valuable. And that’s why I decided to take a step back.
This has reminded me of my power, and my brilliance. I love this for me! 🌱
I hope you know when to fall back for your own good, too.
Current read 📚🇻🇳
I’m currently reading ‘The Mountains Sing’ by Que Mai Phan Nguyen. It’s a historical fiction novel set in Vietnam.
Sweet Jesus, this book is so good! It’s about the effects of wars, foreign occupations, and internal political wrangling on the average Vietnamese person. This book is real life. It is original. It is exhausting. It is heartbreaking. it is everything!
I cannot wait to review this on Books and Being Podcast, as well as Bookstagram.
Watch this!! 🇰🇷
Love Kdramas? Or are you a fan of original stories? If so, I’m happy to share my current obsession with you!
It’s called ‘Twenty Five, Twenty One’
The story, casts, and event are so heartwarming and pure. I’ve shed a tear or more a few times. I’ve had big smiles on my face while watching the episodes. I love it so muchhhh.
That’s all for this newsletter, my friend. Until next time, be good and enjoy!
All my love,
Yetunde O. 💛
